IT Systems Analyst


The IT Systems Analyst position is part of our IT Help Desk team and is responsible for providing support to internal and external end users with hardware and software issues and needs. This position focuses on the evaluation and implementation of all application and technology resources in use at MedPOINT and works closely with the IT Help Desk team and Supervisor on the implementation of new and existing application, system, and services deployments or upgrades and is the owner of all application version control.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for internal and external users seeking technical assistance over the phone, text or email
  • Understands multifaceted business and technical problems and develops analytical solutions to complex issues and needs
  • Hands on responsibility in system installation, configuration, testing and production support for MPM business critical systems and applications
  • Partners with internal and external stakeholders in key business application areas to create technology solutions for workflow and reporting needs
  • Identifies performance gaps based on current workflows and works closely with IT HD Supervisor, Manager and VP to define action plans and track ongoing process improvements and impact reports
  • Perform remote technical troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions; Walk the end users through the problem solving process
  • Document problems and their resolution in Track IT; document all projects and statuses in Smartsheet
  • Timely follow up on projects assigned as well as with end users to ensure issues reported are resolved
  • Has direct accountability for technical correctness, timeliness and quality of all tasks performed and delivered
  • Train internal and external users on functionality and use of MPM applications in use
  • Other special projects as requested by management

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of project management
  • Experience with application installation and implementation process
  • Experience writing technical system design documents
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; Attention to details is critical
  • Strong written communication and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite of products, networks, servers, MS Windows, printers, scanners, other computer related hardware, and phone systems
