MedPOINT’s Provider Services department serves as a liaison between contracted HMOs and providers; advising the providers of new policies and procedures as they become available through continuous interaction.
Our PS staff have the collective healthcare industry and other related knowledge along with the negotiating experience that is required for building new networks and properly expanding existing networks. They assist with contract management and analysis to establish and maintain comprehensive network and tertiary level specialty panels while supporting PCPs.
In addition, each IPA is assigned a field representative who visits each office and/or clinic frequently to augment provider communications and education. Field reps are also assigned to specialty providers to assist with ‘hands-on’ web portal training and answer questions.
They have extensive experience determining appropriate contracts and reimbursement schedules for all managed care product lines and establishing comprehensive specialty panels.
