The MedPOINT Management Eligibility department tracks and maintains current and historical eligibility information for all health plan members. MedPOINT Management staff perform a full reconciliation monthly on all membership. This is accomplished through a combination of automated and manual processes. In both instances, the reconciliation is based on files received from the health plan prior to the monthly capitation cycle. The following is a summary of the services provided by MedPOINT's Eligibility department: Access to eligibility verification via phone calls, Internet and Fax inquiries Monthly Eligibility Audits based on HMO and Product Line Monthly Eligibility Reports provided to all physicians Detailed Activity Reports provided upon request Back-up reports provided with all capitation checks On-going coordination with the Contracting Department to update the provider database Regular facility and medical record assessments conducted to fulfill certification requirements Educational materials and information disseminated to participating providers
